ALEJANDRO
PEREZ.
Artist. Educator. Problem-solver.
Alejandro Perez is the founder of CGI Nerd, bringing more than 25 years of professional experience across film, games, and advertising. His work combines visual effects, character rigging, crowd simulation, procedural workflows, and a technical artist's curiosity for solving creative challenges.
At Framestore, Alejandro contributed CG FX and Houdini crowd work to the GM × Netflix “Why Not an EV?” campaign. Framestore is the credited VFX studio; this work represents Alejandro's individual career contribution.
Previously an Assistant Professor of 3D Digital Design at Rochester Institute of Technology, Alejandro has spent years connecting professional production workflows with hands-on technical education.
CGI Nerd Studios is the production side of CGI Nerd. Its work includes visual effects for Fish & Crown Creative's independent feature Strait Undercover, with Alejandro serving as VFX Lead.
Beyond client production, CGI Nerd is a place to experiment, share technical knowledge, develop original ideas, and turn practical experience into useful creative tools.
