Who operates CGI Nerd

CGI Nerd is operated by Alejandro Perez, a sole proprietor doing business as CGI Nerd. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected].

This notice describes the CGI Nerd website and its protected review environment.

When you contact us

Contact links open your email app. The website does not submit a contact form. If you send an email, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, message, project details and attachments. Your email provider and Google Workspace, which hosts the CGI Nerd business mailbox, process the message.

We use relevant correspondence to communicate with you, discuss and administer projects, maintain business records and meet applicable legal obligations. Please avoid sending passwords, sensitive personal information or confidential production assets in an initial inquiry.

Access to Business Communications

Business correspondence is managed by Alejandro Perez, the sole proprietor operating as CGI Nerd. No other individual is currently authorized to access the business mailbox.

Email is handled through Google Workspace. Authorized connected services and tools may process correspondence when used to support business operations, subject to their applicable permissions and privacy practices.

We take account security seriously, although no electronic communication or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Retention and deletion requests

Relevant correspondence is retained as reasonably necessary for communication, project administration, recordkeeping and applicable legal obligations.

You can request deletion by emailing [email protected]. Deletion requests are accepted subject to applicable recordkeeping requirements. Some information may need to be retained to meet those requirements; deletion is not promised immediately or without exception.

Hosting and technical request data

Cloudflare Pages hosts this website and its protected review deployments. When a browser requests content through Cloudflare, Cloudflare processes technical information such as IP addresses, traffic-routing data, system information and other request-related data to provide and secure its services. Cloudflare may maintain operational and security data and make some request information available to the site operator.

This processing is separate from optional website analytics. Disabling an analytics feature does not mean that hosting and security services process no data or keep no logs. This notice does not assign a fixed retention period to Cloudflare's technical data; processing and retention depend on the service, configuration and applicable terms. Protected staging and public browsing

The current Cloudflare Pages review deployment is restricted to the authorized owner through Cloudflare Access. Access processes sign-in information and uses authentication cookies to enforce that restriction. These cookies support access control; they are separate from optional audience analytics.

Public browsing does not require the owner-only staging sign-in. Protected previews remain restricted through Cloudflare Access.

Videos and page assets

The website serves its fonts, images and other page assets from the same site. A YouTube player loads only after you choose Play video. The player uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain, youtube-nocookie.com. Loading or interacting with it connects your browser to YouTube, which processes information under its own terms; privacy-enhanced mode does not mean that no information is processed.

You can instead choose Watch on YouTube to open the video there. See Google's privacy policy for YouTube's data practices.

Affiliate links and other external sites

Some articles contain disclosed affiliate links. If you follow one and make a qualifying purchase, CGI Nerd may earn a commission. Following an affiliate or other external link takes you to a third-party provider, which handles information under its own privacy terms. Review the destination's notice before providing personal information.

Inactive optional features

Newsletter signup and optional website analytics remain inactive. If those features are introduced, their data handling and this notice will be reviewed before activation.
